I was very privileged and humbled to be part of a recent fashion show in aid of The Teenage Cancer Trust. The event which was held at The Hallmark Hotel in Handforth Cheshire was helping raise vital funds for this awesome charity. Statistics show that 7 young people aged from 13-24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. The trust is the only dedicated charity around to help these young people get the best medical treatment and support they need. The night was organised by a Lady who’s family friends child had died from Cancer. Jo and some of her friends have been raising money for the charity for several years. I was drafted in last minute to help document the night, as the resident photographer was ill. I was delighted when I spoke to Jo and jumped at the chance to get involved. The night was compared by the very delightful and true professional Paul Sleem. Models were drafted in and show began. The cat walk was in full flow with clothes from Fuzzy Goose Boutique and The Couture Club. Raffle prizes and auctions along with a star prize of a set of diamonds worth over £1400 were won. After the Fashion show one of the trust representatives Vanessa gave a short speech about the charity and its work. The crowd were then introduced to a young lady called Olivia. Olivia had battled cancer when she was only 15 years old, and unfortunalty lost her right leg. She is now 20 years old, cancer free and a true inspiration that we can pull through this horrific illness. Click on the link below to view a selection of images from the fashion show.
